Campaign Overview: Touchdowns for Children's

The Touchdowns for Children's campaign helps the Atlanta community rally behind Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, a healthcare system comprised of staff specially trained in care for children under the age of 21.

Prior to engaging with Code Conspirators, the Children's team leveraged a Do-It-Yourself web software application that does great things for some fundraisers, but didn't support the level of custom process that the Children's team hoped to leverage.

As part of a collaboration with AIS Media and Realm, Code Conspirators replaced a licensed software application with a custom web application, which allows people and businesses to donate, raise support, and spread the message in support of such a great organization. Contributors can select whether to make a one-time fixed amount, or select their favorite college football team and pledge per touchdown scored throughout the college football season.

The Challenge

The "Touchdowns for Children's" campaign aimed to boost community giving. But their DIY platform couldn't support flexible pledges or deliver an engaging donor experience.

Our Solution: Custom Fundraising Platform Development

We built a custom platform that let supporters pledge per touchdown by their favorite college team or donate one-time. It supported individuals, businesses, and organizations — each with custom pages.

Compared to the prior season, the Touchdowns for Children's campaign tripled donor engagement and individual contributions. The program continues to be successful today and is fully self-managed by the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta team.
